I have no problem confessing that I’m terrible at promo, but one thing I do excel at is talking—to people, at people…for people. So long as I don’t have to talk about myself.
Today, I have the sincere pleasure of talking both to and at contemporary romance author Tamara Morgan (whose The Derby Girl earned a Romantic Times Book Reviews Top Pick! in September 2013). Her holiday novella, In the Clear, releases November 11, just in time for snowfall and sleigh bells.
Fletcher Owens is full of secrets.
Few people know he spends his nights volunteering for a Search and Rescue team, saving lives while risking his own. Even fewer know he’s in love with his best friend’s sister. And since he’s not willing to give up their friendship for a chance at something more, that’s exactly how things will stay.
Lexie Sinclair has nothing to hide.
The zany daughter, the wacky sister, the quirky fundraiser for a children’s charity—Lexie couldn’t hide her true self even if she wanted to. So when her brother’s best friend is revealed to be a local hero, she’s determined to stand up and prove she’s ready to be more than just friends.
I was lucky (read: pushy) enough to snag an early copy of In the Clear from Ms. Morgan, and, as is very easy to do with her books, I immediately fell in love. I’m fairly certain I smiled the whole way through this 37,000-word novella. Lexie and Fletcher were a dynamic, genuine couple, and it was too fun playing voyeur to the story of how they fell in love.
We’ll be giving away a copy of In the Clear to one lucky commenter today, so enjoy the (ridiculous) interview I subjected this wonderful lady to, and comment for your chance to win!
