What I know about roller derby is confined to that one Psych episode—you know the one, right? Or maybe that one Bones episode, also. Ooh, or that movie with Ellen Page! Okay, and also when I went to an actual bout to watch our local girls take on a significantly-less-badass opponent.

So, perhaps I know more about roller derby than I thought, but I certainly don’t know as much as contemporary romance author Tamara Morgan: Book 2 in her “Getting Physical” series (out August 26 from Carina Press) is entitled The Derby Girl!

Roller derby girl Gretchen “Honey Badger” Badgerton lives in the moment, no apologies. Like every woman in Pleasant Park with a pulse, she finds Dr. Jared Fine irresistible, but she’s taken by surprise when her unattainable new neighbor asks her out.
